Went to a birthday party over the weekend and the kids got bubbles.
View: Oslo
At Holmenkollen, you get a pretty nice view of Oslo and Oslo fjord.
Frognerseteren
Overlooking Oslo is the Frognerseteren restaurant.
You get an ‘authentic’ feel of Norway and a pretty stunning view of Oslo and Oslo Fjord.
The building is from 1891 and I like the viking ship look on the peaks of the roof.
Grønland Alley
When walking through Oslo, take a peek through the gateways and you might see some interesting things.
Like this in Grønland.
Holmenkollen
Went up to the ski jump at Holmenkollen in Norway. It is high up so must look amazing for the jumpers.
Norwegian/ Turkish Pizza
There are a lot of kebab and pizza joints in Oslo. Most are turkish, greek or pakistani… but the food is good. Low price for Oslo and tastes good.
This is a pizza I got from a place called Ali Baba in Grønland.
Karmann Ghia – Front View
Here’s a front 3/4 view of the VW Karmann Ghia. Reminds me a lot of the old Porsche designs… but read the history in the previous link to learn about the history.
VW Karmann Ghia
Saw this VW Karmann Ghia on the streets of Oslo. Not in mint condition but still decent.
Cyber-shot
Once in a while I get comments about my photos. So, what kind of camera have I been using? Well, it’s been a little bit of my iPhone 3G but primarily a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 and some processing through Adobe Photoshop.
Well, I have finally taken that leap into the DSLR arena with the purchase of a Canon EOS 500D. Hopefully you will see an improvement in the photos going forward.
For those that like the existing style, don’t worry as I’ll still being taking pictures once in a while with the Sony. Especially when the situation doesn’t permit carrying the Canon.
In-Flight Recaro
On the Norwegian flight back from Cyprus, got to sit in some Recaros. The design seems better than other seats but again, it was a 5 1/2 hour flight.
